Overview
Founded in March 2024, Carbon Hub Zambia is a dynamic new company driven by a team of professionals with diverse skills and a shared passion for natural resource conservation. As the impact of climate change becomes increasingly evident, we are committed to playing a significant role in preserving Zambia's rich biodiversity, particularly in forests and game management areas.
Our approach involves working closely with indigenous communities to protect these vital ecosystems while partnering with providers of climate finance to support mitigation projects. At Carbon Hub Zambia, we believe in the power of collaboration to safeguard our environment for future generations.
What We Do
We connect providers of development finance for climate mitigation purposes to indigenous forest communities in Zambia that host carbon sinks and biodiversity.
Our staff are well acquainted with Zambian laws, Statutory Instruments, the Carbon Market Framework & interim guidelines relating to carbon trading in Zambia.
We believe in nurturing relationships with communities and landowners who host carbon sinks and biodiversity, which helps to manage risks and creates conditions for a successful project.
We will work closely with a potential partner in the implementation of climate mitigation projects and activities which will generate quality carbon/nature offsets.
To assist our partners in collating initial baseline data at the outset of mitigation projects activities and throughout the lifespan of the project.
To ensure climate mitigation programmes adopted reflect the communities wishes and are spearheaded by the community.
We are constantly engaging policy makers and industry experts about the likely direction of Zambia's soon to be enacted climate policy.
